Well i was at "home" and got into an argument with my "family" about this. Lots of folks in my fam ride for Dave like there is no tomorrow. My cousin said that his top 5 black comedians of this period were(in no order i'm assuming):

Chappelle
Martin Lawrence
Bernie Mac
Chris Rock
Eddie Murphy

*i'm ASSUMING ALSO that Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby are not being counted*

Not a bad 5 at all. But I just don't see Chappelle as a top 5er. 10? Yeah, maybe but 5? No way. I wouldn't put him in front of the likes of Jamie Foxx, DL Hughley(check them Comicview tapes), Robin Harris nor Ced The Entertainer. Hell i'd take SINBAD over him.. As always with my family you have one or two that completely talk out their ass. One cousin had the nerve to compare Dave and Eddie Murphy..as if the shit was close between them.

You have guys like Chris Tucker, Steve Harvey, Bruce Bruce, Arnez J, Paul Mooney etc.

I love Dave's stand up as much as the next man, but top 5? Come on nah.

Man I was up till about 3am last nite watching this damn movie. It's a documentary about this chick named Schappelle Corby. Australian girl who went on holiday(as them damn aussies call it) in Bali, and they found 10 pounds of marijuana in her luggage.

That's international drug trafficking...Capital offense. 20 years is what they gave her. They were even saying she could face death by a firing squad.

again lol

Naah but watching the movie she did a good job of convincing ME she aint do it, or that it was a mix up.

I won't give the whole movie away, but it was absolutely bananas.

U ever drive, then your gas light come on and u think to yourself, "Self, I see that lite, but that means i can go about 5 more miles, there'll be a gas station up the road"

well i was in unfamiliar territory. And as soon as it came on..i passed a gas station on the left AND right side of me.

I shoulda known.

I'm driving and driving....and driving...and driving. My ride gives a little cough.

Uh Oh.

There's a red light up ahead. I'm like "PLEASE don't cut off". It starts coughing more.

Uh Oh.

No gas station coming up.

Then it starts SEVERELY COUGHING. I'm in the right lane with the hazards on going 5mph..no 10mph..no 5mph..no 10mph.

A couple of chix pass me and laff.


Bitches.

I'm coming up to another lite.

The ride's dead.

There's a station about 500yds ahead. Do u know i tried to milk that shit all the way there. Old faithful was like NAAAAH. Getcho ass out and go get gas.

So yeah. I was that cat on the side of the road walkin to the gas station to BUY a gotdamn container and fill it with gas.......

THEN walk back to my ride, put the gas in...only to drive BACK to the same gas station and put 2.35 cent in the tank.

As soon as i pulled up at the crib. My lite went back on.
